How do I disable page caching?

How do I remove a cached page from search results?

Remove a cached page from search results with these steps:

  1. Visit your Google Search Console account
  2. Open the “Removals” report under “Indexing”
  3. Choose “Temporary Removals”
  4. Click “New Request”
  5. Select “Clear Cached URL”
  6. Enter the URL
  7. Choose one of the following options:
    1. Remove this URL only
    2. Remove all URLs with this prefix
  8. Click “Next”
  9. Click “Submit Request”

Why is my cached page not updating?

The most common reason a cached page isn’t updating is that search engines haven’t crawled and indexed the new page version. While you can’t “force” search engines to crawl and index your content, you can encourage them by submitting the URL to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
